Zuza Rosińska

Zuza Rosinska - CEO

Zuza is an engineer with experience in product design, manufacturing and user research. It was during her MEng Integrated Design Engineering final year project that she laid the groundwork for the NOGI Rollator. NOGI was built with her vision, empathy and attention to detail. In her spare time she scrapbooks, shares her art online and does aerial arts.

Dan Blackmore

Dan Blackmore - CTO

Dan is a design engineer and maker. He studied Integrated Design Engineering alongside Zuza, and was one of the first testers of the NOGI rollator. He joined the team to help turn NOGI's ambitious ideas into tangible products. In his spare time he can be found either working on his camper-van conversion or out riding his mountain bikes.

The Story Behind NOGI

NOGI started as Zuza's Final Year Project (FYP) at the University of Bath. In her preliminary research, Zuza identified a gap in the market for active users. Existing rollators in this category were often uncomfortable and unsuitable for outdoor terrain. They also disrupted the natural gait and provided insufficient postural support. Zuza's FYP aimed to address these problems and this culminated in a prototype test bed rollator. Zuza had always felt that a more inclusive community-led approach to design could deliver significant benefits. Her experience at the Centre of Innovation of St Monica Trust gave her an opportunity to see this in practice. While she was here, NOGI started to take shape. NOGI would not just be another rollator on the market, but would be a paradigm shift in mobility aids. Through co-design, NOGI will build a rollator that gets people moving before they start to deteriorate. And while the rollator is being developed, NOGI will build a community to educate users and connect them with the existing products that suit them.
